Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE) is the first Portuguese school to have two of its master's programs ranked among the top ten in the world by the Financial Times. Nova SBE's International Master’s in Management was ranked the 8th best in the world, repeating the success of June when the International Master’s in Finance achieved 7th place in the Financial Times ranking.

The 8th place achieved by Nova SBE in the Financial Times Masters in Management ranking represents a climb of seven places compared to 2023, and continues its leadership in Portugal, in a list that also includes Universidade Católica, ISCTE, and Universidade do Porto. With this achievement in the international higher education landscape, Nova SBE becomes the first Portuguese university with two master’s programs in the top ten worldwide: Finance and Management.

This double distinction strengthens Nova SBE’s leadership position in Portugal and underscores its growing reputation in the global business education arena. The school particularly excelled in indicators of international mobility, academic experience, and carbon footprint, also achieving a satisfaction score of 9.31 out of 10. These results reflect Nova SBE’s commitment to training global leaders prepared to face future challenges with a sustainable and innovative approach.

Pedro Oliveira, Dean of Nova SBE, emphasized, “This global recognition is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to preparing leaders for the challenges of the future, always maintaining academic excellence and innovation as fundamental pillars.” Pedro Oliveira also highlighted the importance of providing international experiences to students to prepare them for the global market, while maintaining a strong connection to Nova SBE and Portugal.

The Financial Times Masters in Management ranking annually lists the top 100 master’s programs in management worldwide, evaluating a total of 19 indicators, including career progression, graduate mobility, faculty and student diversity, and the school’s carbon footprint.
